The MIAA Board of Directors voted today, March 16, 2020, to amend the start of the 2020 spring sports season in light of recent mandates from Governor Baker and recommendations from governing health agencies

In light of Governor Baker’s March 25, 2020 mandate that all schools remain closed until May 4th, the status of spring sports will be addressed by the Board of Directors.

Begin spring season no earlier than May 4, 2020 and have completion of regular season and tournament games by June 27, 2020 with consideration of June 28, 2020 for weather and facility needs.

At a meeting of the MIAA cross country subcommittee held on Tuesday, April 28, a motion was made to pass on a proposal to MIAA T&F/X-C Committee for discussion and a vote Monday, June 8th.

Matt Castriotta (Hubbardston MA / Quabbin Regional High School) is this year’s recipient of the USA Track & Field -New England (USATF-NE) Youth Service Award. Matt founded the Massachusetts State Middle School Track and Field championship in 2011, which missed its 10 year anniversary due to the current Coronavirus situation. Beginning as an abbreviated one day meet with one division, the 2019 meet hosted over 70 schools and 1,500 athletes in a three division meet over a 12 hour day. Additionally, he has initiated the Central Massachusetts and Western Massachusetts Middle School Cross Country championships.

The MSTCA will offer our final meet of the season on Saturday, November 21!

The MSTCA would like to announce a partnership with Wheaton College to host practices and meets at the college’s Haas Center throughout the months of December and January. These events will be open to any student-athlete who resides in Massachusetts, or who attends a Massachusetts high school.

Tonight's practice sessions at the Haas Center, Fillmore Drive, Wheaton College, originally scheduled to start at 4:30 have been cancelled!

The MSTCA Announces It's 2020 Award Recipients to be honored in September, 2021

The MSTCA is happy to announce it will offer a total ten $500 scholarships to the Class of 2021.

Due to a lack of available facilities, the MSTCA will no longer be able to split each of the four Eastern Massachusetts Relay Divisions into North and South Sectionals.

Registration is now open for the 14th Annual Ocean State XC High School Invitational to be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Goddard State Park, 1095 Ives Road, Warwick RI 02818.

After a two year hiatus the MSTCA is proud to announce the return of the New England Track & Field Clinic.

The MSTCA has announced that the 2022 Hall of Fame Inductees & Special Award Recipients will be honored on September 11, 2022, 1:00 p.m., at the Barrett's Ale House, West Bridgewater, 508-510-2022. Tickets are $40.

Shrewsbury High School will be hosting a Speed and Performance Clinic on December 3rd & 4th.

The MIAA Cross Country State Championship will take place this Saturday, November 19th at Fort Devens.
