MSTCA Director of Special Events

The Massachusetts State Track Coaches Association is seeking interested candidates for the position of Director of Special Events. This is a paid position.

Position Overview

The Director of Special Events is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the MSTCA’s non-competition events and recognition programs. The Director will work in consultation with the MSTCA President and Executive Committee to support the successful planning and administration of these activities.

Stipend

The Director will be compensated with a stipend of $5,000.00

Primary Responsibilities

The Director will provide leadership and oversight for:

• The Annual MSTCA New England Clinic
• The Do-It Clinic
• The Annual MSTCA Awards Banquet
• The Athlete Hall of Fame Luncheon and Induction Ceremony
• The MSTCA Coaches Hall of Fame
• The MSTCA Coach of the Year Awards
• The Frank Mooney Athlete of the Year Awards
• The Frank Kelley Adversity Awards

The Director may appoint representatives, in consultation with the President and Executive Committee, to assist with specific programs or events. These representatives may include positions such as a Do-It Clinic Director or Hall of Fame Director. The Director of Events retains overall responsibility for these areas.

Desired Qualifications

Successful candidates should demonstrate:

• Should be an MSTCA Member in Good Standing
• Strong organizational and event-planning skills
• Effective written and verbal communication
• The ability to coordinate volunteers and event representatives
• Attention to detail and follow-through
• A commitment to the mission and activities of the MSTCA
• The ability to collaborate effectively with the President, Executive Committee, Board of Trustees, coaches, and other stakeholders
