Our next inductee is Jamalh Prince a 1988 graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin and a 1992 graduate of Boston College. After college he ran for famed coach Bob Sevene for the Reebok and Adidas Club teams. He has also taken his passion for our sport and is currently, along with today’s fellow inductee Scott Cody, the cross country and track coach at his high school alma mater. Some of Jamalh’s favorite memories are winning 7 All-State TEAM titles in Cross Country and Track, 8 division one titles and 10 League titles. Also, tying for first place with fellow inductee Scott Cody at the prestigious Manhattan College Cross Country Invitational who led their team to the team title. He cherishes the close bonds he still has with fellow Hall of Famers Scott Cody, Karim Saunders and Lance Campbell. Jamalh would like to give special recognition to his high school coaches Bob Maguire and Frank McCarthy for their never wavering support. Coach McCarthy said about Jamalh, “Jamalh was an unselfish, tough and committed runner. His philosophy of running was rooted in the notion that you train for the success you desire”. From Coach Maguire, “Jamalh’s competitive toughness was always present. He never shied away from competition he welcomed it.” While at Boston College he was selected to several All-IC4A, All-Big-East, and All-New England teams. He won the All-New England 5000 meters and was a member of the IC4A DMR. Jamalh could easily be a worthy candidate for the Coaches Hall of Fame. He has been the very successful head boy’s track coach since 1995 at his Alma Mater and has given back to his city by working his entire career for the Cambridge public school system and since 2006 has been the Dean of Students.
