Multi Events, High Jump, Hurdles

Katie was a 2005 graduate of Dennis-Yarmouth High School. Katie is perhaps the greatest all-around athlete to ever graduate from Dennis-Yarmouth High School and arguably one of the greatest female athletes to attend any high school in Massachusetts possibly even in the United States. As a freshman, Katie won the All-State and New England High Jump Championships at 5’8” and the 300m in 40.31. As a sophomore, Katie was the indoor state high jump champion and then in the spring became the All-State and New England 100m hurdles champion. In her Junior year she achieved the double, double. She won both the All State and New England Championships in the 55m hurdles and the high jump and got the double in the spring by winning both the State and New England 100m hurdles and high jump crowns. She was a 4x high school AllAmerican, 3 times in the pentathlon and 1x in the high jump. She still ranks in the top 10 nationally with a score of 3717 points, which at the time was the national junior record. She graduated high school with 8 individual All-State titles, 8 New England titles and 2 State pentathlon titles She is the Mass State record holder in 100m hurdles 14.34 and a State Meet record holder in the 55m hurdles (8.11) In college (B.C. and Northeastern) she continued to show her versatility and would end her career with pr’s of 5’8” in the high jump, 8.13 in the 55m hurdles, 8.79 in the 60m hurdles, 14.36 in the 100m hurdles, and 61.35 in the 400m hurdles.
