MSTCA WINTER TRACK & FIELD ATHLETES OF THE YEAR
Congratulations to the MSTCA Winter Track and Field Boys and Girls Athletes of the year honorees. There were a number of incredible performances this winter season and narrowing the choices down to the top two was a challenge.
Miles Lipka - Algonquin Regional High School
Miles Lipka from Algonquin Regional High School and demonstrated his skill in the multi events as well as individual prowess at the local, regional and National level. We are honored to recognize Miles for his remarkable season.
- NBNI National Champion in the Pentathlon with a new meet record.
- US #10 All-Time Pentathlon score of 4021.
- #1 All-Time Massachusetts score, surpassing the score of 4011 by Brian Kelley of Bishop Feehan, set at the 1990 National Championship meet. This score is the #1 score in the US since 2018.
- MIAA Division 2 State Champion in the 55-meter hurdles in a time of 7.56.
- MIAA Division 2 State Champion in the high jump.
- High jump season best mark of 6' 8"
- Long Jump season best of 21' 11"
- Shot put season best mark of 47' 7"
- 1000 meter season best of 2:48.30
- Broke a 10-year-old Massachusetts State record in the 55-meter hurdles running 7.96 and winning the MIAA Division 1 State Title.
- Won her second MIAA Division 1 State title of the day when she won the Long Jump (18' 8.75").
- Won the Meet of Champions 55-meter hurdles (8.05).
- Won the Meet of Champions Long Jump (18' 8.25").
- Runner Up at the New England Championships 55-meter hurdles (tied her state record-7.96).
- Runner Up at the New England Championships Long Jump (19 '4") new school record.
- Sits 13th in the United States in 55-meter hurdles (5th junior athlete).
- NBNI - 16th in the 60m hurdles and 23rd in the long jump.
Emmanuella Edozien - Natick High School
The MSTCA Girls Winter Track and Field Athlete of the Year is Emmanuella Edozien from Natick High School. Congratulations to Emmanuella on her fantastic, record-breaking performances this year.

- Broke a 10-year-old Massachusetts State record in the 55-meter hurdles running 7.96 and winning the MIAA Division 1 State Title.
- Won her second MIAA Division 1 State title of the day when she won the Long Jump (18' 8.75").
- Won the Meet of Champions 55-meter hurdles (8.05).
- Won the Meet of Champions Long Jump (18' 8.25").
