Thoughts and Prayers For Kent Taylor
Good evening MSTCA members,
We wanted to share the following information about our beloved MSTCA Social Media Kent Taylor-Norton HS
Kent underwent brain cancer surgery this week. Kent is a beloved member of our community, and the number of individuals and organizations who have already reached out to offer support is a testament to Kent's impact on the lives of colleagues, students, athletes, and families of Norton HS and the MA Track & Field/XC Community.
I've been in contact with Kent's wife, Kaylene, and Norton HS offered to establish a Go Fund Me campaign to help defray the cost of recent, current, and future medical procedures, treatments, recovery, transportation, and related expenses. All funds will be directed to Kaylene Taylor, Kent's wife.
My hope is that if we work together to share and promote Kent's fundraiser, we can allow Kent and Kaylene to focus on health and family during this particularly challenging time.

UPDATE:
YESTERDAY by Todd Kefor, Go Fund Me Organizer Kent is home from MGH and is now able to rest and recuperate under the care of Kaylene. Because of Covid precautions, Kent had been alone in the hospital, so his return home is a significant relief. The Taylors are awaiting test results and further direction from doctors for the next phases of treatment.
Kent and Kaylene send their love and gratitude, and are blown away by the tremendous flood of support from our community and beyond. After only a few days, his GoFundMe page has been shared almost 4000 times, and we've raised more than $70,000. This support is a testament to the breadth and depth of Kent's impact on family, friends, colleagues, students, athletes- everyone he crosses paths with.
