Brian Crossman started his coaching career at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School in the spring of 2006. Under his direction, the high school indoor and outdoor track teams have won 15 Dual County League championships, 2 State Relays, 3 Division 1 championships, an All State title, and several other 2nd place finishes at the state level. His biggest team’s achievement was winning the last All-State outdoor trophy, given that the team finished 2nd on 4 previous occasions. He has had the privilege to coach 17 All-State champions, 8 New England champions and 14 All-American athletes. He is most proud of his indoor 4 x 200 meter relay state and New England records. Broken and set twice, by AB athletes. As a coach, Brian was 2 time Boston Globe of the Year for the 2011 indoor and outdoor seasons, and 2 time MSTCA Coach of the Year in 2008 and 2013. He was named 2021 USATFCCCA Coach of the Year for Massachusetts. He was inducted into the MSTCA’s Athlete’s Hall of Fame in 2018 as a result of earning 13 All-American honors in college, and competing for Team USA in 1990. Brian is a 31 year veteran teacher and was awarded the 2019 Middle School Engineering Teacher of the Year in 2020. He was named ITEEA National Teacher of the Year for Massachusetts. Brian Feels this would not be possible without the love and support of his wife Camille and daughter Mary Jane. He would like to specifically recognize Stephen Hitzrot, Ken Feit, Lisa Owen, DJ Brock, Mary Price Maddox, Frank Calore, David James and Ryan Steege for their countless hours of coaching expertise and camaraderie.
