Under the direction of Hall of Fame Coach Bob Gleason, the indoor track, outdoor track

Ernie Goff started his coaching career at Chicopee High School as an assistant Coach from 1969-1974. He returned in 1981 to be head coach for the next 25 years. During this tenure, his teams has 20 winning seasons, 10 League Championships, 20 Top 5 finishes in Western Mass. and the 1997 Division 1 Western Massachusetts Championship. His athletes earned 44 Gold Medals at Western Mass. and placed at the State and New England Meets. Two of his athletes earned All American in Division III . Indoor Started in 2000 at Chicopee High School and the competitive seasons led to six Western Mass gold Medalists, four All State medalists, and an All State Shot Put Champion. Coach Goff was inducted into the MSTCA Hall of Fame in 2005. As a 35-year classroom teacher science teacher and a 30 year coach, Ernie Goff has fostered and prepared Chicopee student-athletes for success at the highest levels.
