A Running Back for the Whitman High School in 1952. He did finish his senior year as a member the Track team. Though he never won a medal, Hall distinguished himself by competing in Olympics on four continents from 1956 to 1968. The 6-foot-1, 245-pound Hanson native, who went to Cornell University, enjoyed his best finish -- fourth place -- in his first Olympics in 1956 in Melbourne, Australia.
